Abstract. The known cases of induced seismicity caused by industrial and endogenous effects of high power are enumerated. On example of the Elbrus centre of fluid-magmatic activity various versions of changes in microseismic background level due to anthropogenic influence of essentially smaller energy are considered.
Observations were carried out in the tunnel of the Baksan neutrino observatory of the Institute for Nuclear Research, RAS, at a distance of about 1500 m from its entrance, where the level of external noise is very low. Microseismic oscillations (three components) were recorded continuously in the frequency range of 10–120 Hz; amplitudes were averaged in 5 s intervals. Trolleys moving in the tunnel were regarded as the source of technogenic influence. Their different effects (“initiation” and “excitation”, according to A.V. Nikolaev) on intensity of radiation of large and small fluid-magmatic sources are analyzed depending on their orientation with respect to the tunnel.
Keywords: fluid-magmatic centers, microseismic noise, technogenic influence.
